Christopher Baker, LCSW, QS
Christopher Baker Counseling, based in Boca Raton, Florida, offers both in-person and virtual therapy services to provide flexible, accessible care tailored to each client’s needs.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in working with adults facing substance use challenges and the co-occurring mental health issues that often accompany them—such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also have a strong commitment to supporting men’s mental health, particularly those navigating questions around sexual identity. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
Since beginning my work in the recovery community in 2010, I’ve been deeply connected to helping individuals and families impacted by addiction. My clinical training began during my graduate studies at Florida Atlantic University, where I focused my research on the opioid epidemic and completed my internship in substance abuse treatment. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working at a nationally recognized treatment center, where I began as a primary therapist providing direct clinical care. That role allowed me to walk alongside clients during some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives. I later advanced into the position of clinical supervisor, where I was able to support and guide other therapists in delivering ethical, compassionate care—an experience that has deepened both my leadership and clinical insight.
In addition to my work in recovery, I support individuals dealing with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. Many of the people I work with are navigating persistent anxiety, low mood, burnout, or a general sense of disconnection from themselves or others. I’m particularly passionate about creating space for men to explore their inner world—whether that means unpacking long-held beliefs about masculinity, working through relationship challenges, or coming to terms with aspects of their sexual identity in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
Therapy is more than just a space to talk—it's a collaborative process where healing, resilience, and transformation can take root. I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust and respect, and I meet each client where they are. Whether you’re in crisis, early recovery, or seeking deeper clarity in your life, I’m here to help you identify what matters most and move toward lasting, meaningful change.
If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to reach out for a consultation. Taking that first step can be difficult, but it’s also a powerful act of courage—and you don’t have to do it alone.
Educational Background
BA in Sociology,
Summa Cum Laude
Sociology enhances individual therapy by offering a deeper understanding of how social, cultural, and systemic factors influence personal experiences. It allows therapists to consider not just the individual, but the broader context in which they live—such as family roles, community dynamics, and societal pressures. This perspective fosters greater empathy, cultural awareness, and the ability to tailor support that honors each client's unique social identity and lived reality.
Master of Social Work (MSW)
Clinical social work brings a holistic and person-centered lens to individual therapy, integrating psychological insight with an understanding of the social and environmental factors that impact mental health. Trained to assess and treat emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges, clinical social workers are uniquely equipped to help clients navigate complex life situations while addressing underlying issues such as trauma, systemic inequality, and family dynamics. This approach supports not just symptom relief, but meaningful, sustainable change in the context of each client’s real-world experiences.
